  • Acquired and congenital abnormalities of coagulation.
  • Interaction of platelets with tumor cells. Major Research Areas.
  • Role of platelet von Willebrand factor in hemostasis and thrombosis.
  • Receptorial and cytoskeletal mechanisms of platelet function.
  • Quality control of platelet concentrates; research on synthetic substitutes for platelet transfusions.


Clinical Service

  • Chairman of Biomedical Laboratories. Coordinates clinical assistance, research and teaching activities of these laboratories.
