  • Platelet physiology and pathology.
  • Congenital and acquired bleeding disorders.
  • Thrombosis, atherosclerosis and vascular injury.
  • Pharmacological management of haemostasis.
  • Quality control of platelet concentrates; Development on synthetic alternatives.
  • Artificial surfaces; blood biocompatibility.


Clinical Service

  • Provides diagnostic and follow-up advice for patients with bleeding problems and rare platelet disorders.
